Description
This exceptionally rare side table was designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson in the early 1950s. Known as Model 195, it was produced by his own company, Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB, based in Åhus, Sweden. The table is featured in the company’s 1952 catalogue. Notably, this particular piece bears a metal tag from Ferdinand Lundquist on the underside of the tabletop. Lundquist was a prestigious furniture retailer in Göteborg at the time, renowned for offering high-end designs, including those by Jakobsson.
The solid teak tabletop is triangular with gently rounded corners, creating a soft, organic silhouette. The base consists of three slender hairpin-style metal legs, finished in white lacquer.
The table is in very good original condition, showing only minor wear consistent with age and use. The lacquered white finish of the base displays some minor marks, adding character without detracting from its overall appeal. -
