Description
This bijou Murano table lamp was produced in Italy in the 1970s and showcases exceptional Venetian glass craftsmanship. The shade is executed in vivid blue and white millefiori glass, composed of countless individually fused murrine canes that create a dense, cascading field of starburst floral motifs. Its gently flared, organically draped form gives the lamp a sculptural, almost fabric-like presence when illuminated.
The blown-glass body features soft, swirling tones of white and warm gold, enriched with suspended gold powders that shimmer subtly throughout the glass. It rests on a round, heavy, deep-blue glass base that provides visual balance and stability to the overall composition. The lamp is topped with its original brass finial, which adds an elegant finishing detail. The underside is engraved “Murano Glass”.
The lamps is in very good original condition. The lamp retains its original European wiring and is fitted with an E14 bulb holder (European small-screw fitting; U.S. equivalent size is E12) -
