-
Description
Exceptional table composed colorful abstract ceramics on a steel structure, Roger Capron ceramic tiled coffee table in an abstract design and arrangement of the tiles.
This style was often done by Capron during the 60's which was less literal and more abstract. The use of color is very different than the previous more literal work. The colors with a lot of crackle to the glaze from mustard to ochre, deep olive green some browns and shite are unique and desirable in Capron today.
Signed R Capron. In a black iron frame. Beautiful crackle to the glaze. No chips to the tiles.

Message from Seller:
Pavilion is the collective vision of Deborah Colman and Neil Kraus, both graduates of the master of fine arts program at the Art Institute of Chicago. From a longstanding interest in art and design, frequent buying trips to France and Italy have influenced the direction of the gallery to offer items that are not easily sourced in Chicago and United States. Postwar design has been the focus for 18 yrs and we also look forward to new design that crosses boundaries and dialogues as well to the past
