Description
This pair of mid-century modern console tables, made from bright, solid brass and white marble, were designed by Roger and Roger Thibier, for their own apartment and showroom located on Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré in Paris. As you can see from the photographs, the pieces were part of a set that they designed specifically for their round dining room. In total, Thibier designed ten pieces in this style, and these two console tables are numbers one and nine. Though displaying the elegance and curves of typical French Neoclassical style, this set is a unique creation. The brass legs, gleaming with a golden patina, take the form of a long-necked bird. Broad, dimensional feathers give way to the thinner, but strong, bird foot which anchors each table to the marble base. The golden and beautiful white marble color palette is timeless and chic, making this set ideal as decorative pieces in a grand entryway.
If desired as a part of a larger dining room set, the matching Thibier dining table is also currently up for sale. -
