Description
An authentic vintage sculptural „Baumtisch“ tree trunk table from the 1950s, designed and crafted by Carl Auböck II. This unusual minimalist piece is made from a walnut wood slab with a polished tabletop that highlights rich and deep natural grain. The underside is blackened, and the table stands on three outspread brass legs with the original black rubber feet. In reality, the table appears far more monumental and sculptural than it does in the photographs. The tabletop is crafted from a truly beautiful, massive and thick, organically shaped piece of walnut trunk. Its rather rounded, compact form makes it suitable for a variety of uses—it works perfectly as a coffee or sofa table, but also as a side table, occasional table, or even a plant or flower stand. The table remains in its original, unrestored state and is in very good condition. A truly unique, one-of-a-kind piece.
