The leading interior designer Michael Wolk is dedicated to making design matter. In fact, it’s the philosophy that drives every project helmed by his Miami-based firm, Michael Wolk Design Associates. According to Wolk, “Design is design; everything else is everything else. And we make design matter, in the sense that it needs to be physical. It transcends fantasy and speculation; it is exciting and inspiring, while remaining firmly grounded in the reality of time constraints and budgets.“

An active member of the interior design community for over thirty years, Wolk has designed interiors for a range of residential and commercial clients, including Trump International, Colonnade, and the Bass Museum. In addition to his timeless yet decidedly modern interiors, Wolk designs bespoke home furnishings. His sleek and striking work has been featured in a variety of publications, including Luxe and Interior Design Magazine.

Michael Wolk browsed InCollect and created a collection inspired by his Gables Estate project in Miami. The renowned mid-twentieth century architect Florence Knoll designed the classic Miami home, which over the decades saw numerous renovations and eventually disrepair. A new owner called on Wolk to undertake a thorough renovation of the house, which he did after careful research to uncover Knoll’s plans for the original structure. What emerged was a Gables Estate home that reflected the spirit and style of the original house, updated for today’s living. Wolk furnished the rooms of the house using many pieces from his own collections -- a perfect fit given the house’s very special provenance.
