Flos
Italian, 1962
Founded in 1962 in Merano, Italy by Dina Gavina and Cesare Cassina, FLOS is a global leader in lighting design. To develop new lighting concept, FLOS hired Achille Castiglioni, Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Tobia Scarpa. In 1964 Sergio Gandini joined the company. In 1968, the Castiglioni brothers designed and opened the first retail store in Milan. FLOS lighting products and design remain popular today.
