18th century Large Chinese Raised lacquer Cabinet. This cabinet has a wonderful patina that only comes from time and Old Style craftsmanship lacquer application. A paper or cloth covering is placed over adobe to add dimension and depth to the images. The paint work and many coats of lacquer complete the process. Cabinet has a very large false bottom under shelf storage. Please note that this type of cabinet is not easily found in China today. CA 1700
