    Italy - Venice c. 1720.

    Grand Pair of Important Italian ( enice) Carved Giltwood Girandoles - Wall Appliques styled very much in the strong Mannerist masculine tradition.
    Note ... A rarity to find a pair in this condition - due to the soft poplar wood most of these finely carved appliques have not survived the three hundred years. Could be easily converted to use modern lighting without altering the originality and spoiling the aesthetics .
