Description
Salvino Marsura, sculpture, fireplace screen, Italy 1970s, Postmodern. Sculptural work consisting of three separate pieces of art that combine into a striking functional object. The piece was handmade of steel finished with powder pigments. Salvino Marsura is an Italian artist born in Treviso in 1938. His career started in the 1950s, with a body of work comprising small and large-scale sculptures, as well as furniture and architectural elements. He has always crafted his pieces by hand using the forge, the anvil, and the Hammer, following in the footsteps of the greatest blacksmiths tradition. With force and wits, his creativity infuses character and soul into all his unique art pieces.
