Description
Large 19th century French bronze figural chariot clock with 5 inches porcelain dial and fancy pierced gilt hands with brass spring driven movement. The clock has a half hour strike on a coiled gong and original pendulum w/ matching numbers. In a large case with figural 2 tone gilt and silvered bronze figure of a soldier steering a chariot drawn by 4 horses rearing back. It has silvered columns and applied mounts on the front of the case and stands on claw feet. Maker's mark and numbered inscribed. The clock is in great condition with a good original finish showing some typical wear from age / use. It Measures 12. In. high x 17 in. wide x 12.5 in. deep.
