Description
This wonderful oil painting portrait of a Jack Russell Terrier, entitled "On the Prayer Rug", is by Sandra Eames, dated 2008. Sandra Eames is a master of animal portraiture. Depicted here is her own dog in the hallway of her home in Pomfret, Vermont. The measurements above include the good quality frame. The size of the panel is 11" x 9".
Sandra has lived in Vermont since the 1980's, and last year she moved to the coast of Maine. She was born in California where she studied at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. After graduation, she spent a year studying and painting at the Cecil-Graves Studio in Florence, Italy.
She is a member of the Southern Vermont Arts Council and exhibits at their prestigious annual show in Manchester, Vermont, where her paintings often sell out. She is a highly respected and best-selling New England regional artist. She selects fine frames for all her paintings, and this painting comes with the frame depicted here. -
