Rare and important pair of 1930s crystal mounted gilt bronze chandeliers by Maison Baguès . Of beautiful proportions these chandeliers are in great original condition, the bronze retaining its original gilding. France: circa 1930 Provenance :Estate of the late Luc D'Iberville Moreau , former director and curator of the Montreal Decorative Arts Museum (now incorporated within the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts), purchase by him in France reportedly from the estate of the a member of the distinguished Schlumberger family.
