Description
This elegant and dramatic pair of table lamps were handblown in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. They sculptural undulating cylindrical bodies in handblown reeded Murano glass offering a sophisticated smoked chambord hue and imbued with an abundance of 24kt gold flecks that gives the glass an alluring iridescent sheen. The lamps display dramatically peaked concave bases. Ascending from the sculptural Murano bases are stacked forms consisting of an elliptical capsule bookended by two spherical forms cinched at their connection points. The lamps are finished with brass fittings that perfectly complement the hue of the glass. With their refined color palate, and beautiful quality of construction, these table lamps are as versatile as they are aesthetically compelling, blending perfectly with any style of interior from traditional to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition.
