Description
An Italian sculptural table lamp by Italiana Luce manufactured in Italy, circa 1960s.
The black lacquered base plate is slightly trapezoid. and supports a curved black lacquered metal loop.
The cast plastic socket slides up and down and rotates supporting a lampshade of distinctive design that wraps around itself and is covered with a fine structured fabric in a beige tone in original and excellent condition.
This light can be adjusted in height and the socket cover unscrews to release the shade for easy and safe shipping.
The on and off switch, the plug and the socket are Italian.
This lamp takes a medium or standard screw base bulb or LED.
The base is unmarked and in very good vintage condition from the 1960s.
I have not been able to find this lamp design in this scale.
There are examples of a similar floor lamp with exactly the same base design with a chromed rod support not a black lacquered rod as this lamp has.
The rotating wrap around shades are identical. . -
