Pair of Large 1970s Orange Sconces for Nordisk Solar.

Executed in bright orange painted metal shade with black backplate which has been professionally modified for mounting over standard US j-box. A very architectural and refined wall lamp characteristic of midcentury Scandinavian design. Unmarked.

Nordisk Solar was founded in 1919 by Jacob L. Jørgensen and Herluf Sørensen. The company started business as an import and wholesale company of electricity meters, but later shifted its focus to lighting in the 1960s, moving on to acquire Swedish lamp manufacturer Hans-Agne Jakobsson A/S in the 1990s. Their high-quality lighting designs have since been sought after by discerning collectors.

Each lamp accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard medium base (e26) LED bulb (LED only). Professionally rewired for US electrical. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
