Description
This striking pendant light was designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and produced by his company in Markaryd, Sweden in the 1960s. This model was numbered T601 and is part of his iconic fringe series. The design is marked by the brass fixture with its distinct serrated rim and brass cable holder mounted on top. There are five separate, tiered layers of champagne/light yellow colored silk fringes. The light bulb is hidden underneath the fringes giving off a warm, muted light - the kind of muted lighting that Jakobsson became famous for. Listed dimensions are of the fixture itself, the height is adjustable with the drop down cable. The current drop down cable is 100 cm/ 39.37 inches long. White acrylic canopy marked with the Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB manufacturers sticker on the inside.
The lamp is in very good original condition, the brass with a natural patina. Some scratches on top of the brass fixture, not really disturbing or visible when the piece is installed. Fitted with one E27 socket. -
