Description
This striking pair of table lamps was produced by PM Keramik in Denmark in the 1960s. PM Keramik is believed to be a potter who has intentionally chosen to remain anonymous. Despite this, PM pieces are highly distinctive and recognizable, even though most are unsigned or unlabeled. His or her work shares a similar inventive spirit with that of Axel Salto, reflecting a bold exploration of form and texture while remaining entirely original in its expression.
The design of this exceptional pair is defined by the tall, rectangular shape of the base, which has been finished with a “high-relief” dotted surface, entirely applied by hand. This gives the lamps a compelling texture and sense of depth. The base is glazed in a light sage green, with the dots presented in a gradient of browns.
The cylindrical lamp shades have been renewed in a smooth ivory fabric, complementing the subtle, organic aesthetic of the bases.
The lamps are in very good condition with renewed wiring and renewed shades. Currently with 220V European plugs and regular E26/E27 bulb fittings.
