Description
American Craftsman Style Table by Gilbert Rohde for Heywood Wakefield. Heywood Wakefield Pricilla Rub Side Table design credited to Gilbert Rohde, 1930. Solid rock maple side table with exposed tenon & mortise joinery that exemplifies fine craftsmanship with clean lines. Tapered splayed legs support the table top with a beautiful X-base strut supporting the legs. Softened edges to the top with contrasting exposed darkened tenons adds refined details to the composition. This table is a true find showcasing American Craftsmen Style designed by one of the greatest Modern furniture designers of the 20th century. The Priscilla Rub Line was offered in the Heywood Wakefield's 1930's Old Colony collection with Gilbert Rohde credited as this collection's designer.
