-
Description
Dimensions: 48 ⅝” H x 24 ¼” W x 2 ⅜” D
A fantastic Biedermeier period trumeau mirror from France, 19th century, made of birch wood and ebonized details around the original mirror plate. The architectural-inspired shape is crowned with a low, pitched roofline framing a central panel with ebonized semicircle dotted with pairs of tole stars (also painted black) above and below. The original mirror glass is characterized by the mesmerizing texture of waves and tiny bubbles, partially obscuring the reflection but complementary to the excitement in the waves of the birch frame.
