Snowflake Hooked Rug
American, ca. 1900
Dyed Wool
Fine condition, backed with linen and mounted on a stretcher.
Provenance: Private Collection, Washington, CT; Old Hope Antiques, Inc., New Hope, Pennsylvania.
This early hooked rug has a design and pattern allowing it to be hung both vertically and horizontally. The graphic design is further complimented by a soft and gentle palette of colors.
