A fine English late George II, early George III period mahogany bachelor's chest of rectangular form, the square edge or 'caddy' top with cross-banded border above cockbeaded brushing slide and four graduated drawers with lovely bookmatched crotch veneers and original brasses raised on molded top bracket-foot base.

Origin: England Period: 18th Century Materials: Mahogany, brass, oak Condition: Good. Wear commensurate with age and use. Original finish newly rewaxed. Drawer bottoms appear to have been rebuilt third-quarter-19th-century with center rail-supports.
