Description
This rare table lamp was produced by Fagerhults Belysning in Sweden in the early 1960s. The stoneware base was manufactured by the well-known Höganäs Keramik company. The lamp is signed with both manufacturers names on the bottom of the base.
The generously sized, hand-turned stoneware base is made of sandstone. The glaze finish is a refined blend of green, gray, beige and sand striped, giving the base a beautiful depth and particular character.
The custom tapered shaped shade is made of a white Loro Piana linen which offers a nice contrast with the color of the base.
The lamp is in very good condition with a renewed shade and renewed wiring. Currently with a 220V European plug/wiring.
Item Dimensions:
Total height including shade: 25.59 in (65 cm)
Height of only the base (excluding shade): 14.57 in (37 cm)
Diameter of the shade: 9.84 in (25 cm)
Diameter of the base: 6.69 in (17 cm) -
