Description
A rare version of the classic table "Ihanne" lamp designed by Lisa Johansson-Pape and manufactured by Orno In Finland in the middle of the 20th century. The highly popular "Ihanne" lamp is a brilliant design, that allows the light to shine both up and down at the same time. This design became very popular in Finland with many different variations of stems, materials and shades. It was used in public buildings as well as private homes. The long reigning president Urho Kekkonen had the table version of this lamp in his home office.
Lisa Johansson-Papé (1907-1989) was a Finnish designer best known for her works in lighting. She paid more attention to the function of the lamp firstly, then the design feature secondly.
