An English 19th century painted pine chest of drawers made in the Regency taste with delightful acanthus illustrations for a Neoclassical touch. Smooth khaki paint aged to a tactile craquelure transforms the familiar silhouette (like a sturdy campaign chest); each drawer opens by large, turned wood knobs decorated in a cross pattern, surrounded by a pinstripe line to suggest a paneled drawer front echoing the delicate leaves on the edges.
