Description
A beautiful and rare sculptural minimalist mid century modern table or desk lamp, model no. 4280. Designed and manufactured by Carl Auböck II in 1949.
This lamp is made of brass and features a leather-covered base as well as a leather handle on the top of the lampshade. Straightforward and simple, yet highly functional in design: the lamp has two articulated joints (goosenecks), making it fully adjustable. No matter how it is positioned, it always looks fantastic.
The lamp is in very good condition; the brass has been carefully hand-polished. Pleasingly, the lampshade shows no dents at all. The lamp has also been newly rewired with a high-quality black fabric-covered cable.
Regarding the term rare: we generally try to avoid using it, as rarity is relative. However, we can say with certainty—this lamp is rare.
The lamp is supplied according to the standards of your country (E26 U.S. or E27 European socket, European or U.S. plug). -
