Belgian brutalist rosewood resin and brass sideboard 1970

$ 39,000
  • Description
    Unique sideboard created in the 1970s by a Belgian decorator in Ado Chale and Etienne Allemeersch’s entourage. It features three doors, each crafted in resin, displaying subtle shades of bronze green and grey, animated by almost mineral variations that lend its depth and an organic character. The structure is in solid rosewood, with brass details, and a beautiful resin top. This work recalls the leading Belgian designers of the 1970s, combining a sophisticated interplay between brutalism and chicness, where material itself becomes the primary subject. In great condition, this sideboard has been fully restored. It stands as a powerful statement piece, at the crossroads of design and sculpture.
