Description
Designed in 1986 by Belgian architect Bob Van Reeth, the RHoK table forms part of a series of furniture pieces developed alongside his architectural work. Rather than being conceived as isolated objects, these designs were often presented within exhibitions and projects connected to his practice, where architecture and furniture were approached as one coherent language.
The table is characterized by a restrained, structural composition, combining a precise tabletop with an articulated base that balances stability and lightness. This approach reflects Van Reeth’s broader design philosophy, in which geometry, proportion and construction are central.
Furniture by Van Reeth from this period frequently echoes architectural ideas, translating references from built projects into material form. The RHoK table, shown alongside other designs such as the Georges table, embodies this dialogue between object and architecture, resulting in a piece that is both rigorous and quietly expressive. - More Information
