Description
"Italian modular wall unit attributed to Vittorio Dassi, produced in the 1960s. The piece combines open shelving and a wardrobe module within a vertically structured system.
The composition is organized into three sections supported by slender uprights with adjustable metal feet, characteristic of Italian modular systems of the period. The structure is in teak, while the door, shelves, and drawer fronts are in ash with a glossy lacquered finish.
The left-side cabinet door is decorated with three engraved or screen-printed panels depicting pastoral scenes, reflecting the decorative tendencies found in Italian furniture of the time. The right section includes two external drawers, coordinated with the lighter finish of the door.
Inside, the cabinet offers practical storage with internal drawers and hanging space, allowing use both as a wardrobe and as a living area storage unit.
Condition: very good vintage condition. Minor signs of use consistent with age. The lacquered surfaces remain well preserved, with good gloss and defined decoration.
A balanced example of Italian mid-century modular design, combining functional versatility with distinctive decorative elements." -
