Description
A beautiful and decorative round Op-Art wall light / sconce from the 1970s, manufactured by Peill & Putzler, Germany. It consists of silver-colored aluminum hardware and a large round convex thick-walled clear glass shade with a textured, faceted and partially frosted geometric pattern. The glass is secured with an attractive round knob and the light features an integrated pull switch. The pattern is reminiscent of Verner Panton’s iconic Geometri design. The fixture can also be used as a ceiling light / flush mount, and the integrated pull switch can be removed easily and without complication if desired. The light accommodates two bulbs and will be supplied for the electrical standards of your destination (E26/E27). It is in very good vintage condition with only minor signs of age and use, and the glass is of course free from any chips or cracks. The lamp is not only beautiful to look at, it also produces a wonderful and atmospheric light. Diameter: 11.5", depth: 5".
