Vintage Uzbek Hand-Embroidered Suzani In Gilt Frame

$ 4,995
  • Description
    Dimensions: 52” H x 23” W x 1 ¼” D

    A hand-embroidered 20th Century Suzani textile in a custom gilt frame. The intricate teardrop-shaped tulips are a feature of Uzbek textiles to symbolize renewal and a long life, rendered in fine chain stitches of indigo-blue thread. Not only is this textile a testament to the skill of talented artisans, but it also serves as a conversation starter and a focal point in any room and across decorating tastes. Recently framed over a linen background with a new gilt finished molding, the finished work is shown in vertical orientation but is symmetrical to hang as desired. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition or reach out with any questions.
