Mira Nakashima
American, 1942
Daughter of furniture designer George Nakashima, Mira was born in Seattle, WA but then grew up in New Hope, PA, where her father built his home and studio. Mira earned her Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Sciences at Harvard University in 1963, and then went on to complete a Master of Architecture at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan in 1966. Following in her father's footsteps Mira's work reflects her father's design influence.
