Fog & Mørup

Fog & Mørup was a Danish lighting company founded in 1904 by Svend Fog and Otto Mørup. The company was known for its high-quality and innovative designs, and played a significant role in the development of Danish modernist lighting in the mid-20th century.
Fog & Mørup collaborated with several leading Danish designers and architects, including Poul Henningsen, who designed some of the company's most famous lamps, such as the "PH Artichoke" and the "PH 5". These lamps featured innovative designs that used multiple layers of shades to diffuse light in a soft and even manner, and have become iconic examples of Danish modernist design.
In addition to Henningsen, Fog & Mørup also worked with other notable designers such as Jo Hammerborg, who designed several lamps for the company in the 1960s, and Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup, who designed the "Superellipse" lamp for Fog & Mørup in 1967.
Fog & Mørup ceased operations in the 1980s, but its designs continue to be highly prized by collectors and design enthusiasts, and are often featured in museums and galleries around the world.
