Pair of Greek Reproduction Terracotta Pots from Crete

Offered by: Fireside Antiques

Description
Dimensions: 25” H x 27” W x 27” D

A pair of reproduction terracotta pots made on the island of Crete using traditional pottery techniques. Decorating the bulbous forms are a series of parallel rings of clay pieces pressed into the surface below thick rims. Each pot has 3 small, curved handles made of pulled clay with imprinted ovals where they join the bodies of the vessels. Holes in each base allow for drainage. With their old world charm, these pots would bring a timeless presence to any garden or outdoor space. We believe these to be in good condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition or reach out with any questions.
