Description
An exquisite kingwood box with gilt molding and marquetry top resting on shaped lion paw feet. Later relined interior. Working lock and key. A hand French polish showcases the beauty of the rare kingwood. Kingwood was only used on the finest of furniture in the 18th and 19th century. Excellent quality and condition. French 1850-60.
