Description
An elegant pair of antique Austrian porcelain decorative vases, made in Austria during the early 20th century, circa 1915. These finely executed cabinet vases showcase the refined artistry and decorative sophistication associated with Austrian porcelain production of the period.
Each vase is beautifully hand-painted with lively figural scenes depicting goddesses and courtly figures dancing, conversing, and playing in period attire. The scenes are rendered in soft and harmonious hues of yellow, pink, blue, and orange, displaying remarkable attention to detail and subtle shading. The painted reserves are set against a richly gilt ground, creating a striking contrast that enhances the delicacy and vibrancy of the decoration. The vases are formed in an elegant bottle shape with gently rounded bodies and narrower necks, all resting on circular bases that provide balanced proportions and stability. The extensive gilt decoration throughout the surface reflects light beautifully and emphasizes the luxurious character of the pair.
Both pieces retain their maker’s marks and original factory glaze seals underneath, confirming authenticity and quality of manufacture. The vases remain in excellent antique condition, free from chips, cracks, or repairs, preserving the integrity of the porcelain and painted decoration. Each vase measures approximately 9 1/2 inches high and 4 1/2 inches in diameter, making them ideal decorative accents for a mantel, console, cabinet, or tabletop display. -
