French 19th Century Bronze Bell on Stand

A remarkable French bronze bell hung on an equally remarkable ornate iron stand. The stand is outfitted with a caged candleholder above the bell housing. The bell housing is embellished with leaves fashioned from iron and flanked by two winged dragons standing guard. This upper portion is supported by an iron shaft that terminates in a base featuring decoratively scrolled feet. This piece was most likely a shop bell.
