A striking pair of 19th-century hand-carved wooden angels depicted playing harps. Each figure is rendered in a seated position with detailed wings and expressive, idealized features. The surfaces retain much of their original hand-painted polychrome decoration, showing a rich patina of age. Originally part of a larger religious architectural installation, these monumental carvings have been secured to modern minimalist steel bases for display as freestanding sculptures.

Materials:	Hand-carved solid wood with polychrome paint and gesso finish. The figures are mounted on contemporary custom-fabricated powder-coated steel stands.
Condition:	Fair. The sculptures show significant signs of age, including stable cracks in the wood, losses to the polychrome finish, and visible wear to the gesso. These imperfections are consistent with their history as ecclesiastical architectural elements.
