Rare beautiful Tapio Wirkkala “Polipo” plate for Venini, from the serie “Piatti di Tapio” signed and dated Venini TW 90 on the back, made of Murano glass using Incalmo technique. The large plate is displayed as a sculpture on a black metal base. The plate has eye-catching colors, with aquamarine blue, grey, royal blue, and a touch of green and red at its center. It is quite large and tall, and has a beautiful presence, ideally to be displayed on a large console table, or a fireplace. Found in a perfect condition. Plate diameter is 14.95 inches.
