Description
This significantly compromised east Caucasian scatter features two large "Lesghi stars"detailed in very dark blue, cream and red, with eight point star centres in goldenrod and orange-red, all on mostly vanished brown-black corroded ground. The old ivory of the visible foundation adds another color to the palette. Medium blue rosette main border and ivory scrollerie minors. Shabby chic condition. The orange color almost precisely dates this rug.
