Emilia Castillo Sun & Cloud Serving Utensils, Hand Signed, Mexican Modern Design

$ 1,850
  • Description
    Whimsical and highly collectible vintage serving utensil set designed and handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico by celebrated silversmith Emilia Castillo. This sculptural two-piece set features Castillo’s signature blend of playful form and refined craftsmanship, with one utensil styled as a radiant sun face and the other as a stylized cloud. Both pieces are finished in luminous silverplate over metal and retain their original hallmarks reading: Emilia Castillo, Mexico, M.R., TO-85, Plateado, with hand-engraved signature.

    Created during the golden era of late 20th century Mexican decorative arts, these serving pieces embody the artistic legacy of the Castillo family of Taxco, descendants of the famed Los Castillo workshop and the region’s world-renowned silversmithing tradition. Their hand-hammered organic handles and celestial motifs make them equally suited for entertaining, display, or collecting.

    An exceptional addition for collectors of Taxco silver, Mexican modernism, tableware, and designers seeking statement serving accessories for sophisticated interiors.
