An English framed oil painting from the 19th century depicting a Venetian scene. Born in England during the 19th century, this charming oil painting depicts one of the many bridges that cross over the canals of the splendid Serenissima. Standing out beautifully on a blue sky accented with discreet clouds, a church with round cupola accentuates the background while a red brick arched bridge draws us in. Locals are busying themselves with their daily occupations while a gondola is making its way in the canal's calm waters. Set inside a delicately carved wooden frame, this English 19th century painting will bring a romantic touch to any home decor, perhaps hung above a chest-of-drawers, side table or buffet.
