French 18th Century Giltwood Framed Still Life Painting

Dimensions: 33 ⅝” H x 50 ½” W x 2 ¼” D

A lovely 18th-century framed French still life painting dripping with Rococo style was once above a large mirror making a trumeau. It most likely was taken from a room surrounded in bosserie paneleing. The painting shows a variety of bird species around an urn filled with flowers and overflowing vines against a blue background. Soft, pastel tones are a hallmark of Rococo painting, and they are on beautiful display in this piece. Surrounding the painting is a stunning giltwood frame that has been intricately carved with acanthus leaves and floral motifs. The canvas is in good condition with no signs of tearing or warping, and the paint shows no signs of damage or flaking. This painting is the perfect addition to any space in need of a bit of softness and grandeur. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
