Description
Dimensions: 27 ⅞” H x 26 ⅜” W x 26 ⅜” D
A 19th-century Empire-style gueridon with dark grey marble atop a mahogany base. The marble is punctuated with stunning inclusions of light grey fossilized shells. The stone is in good condition with minimal scratching and etching. Some staining can be seen, which is consistent with the table’s age and continued use. The table’s apron houses a single drawer that opens smoothly with a brass knob. The tabletop is supported by three legs with carved capitals and cushions, reminiscent of doric columns. Such classical imagery is consistent with the Empire style’s preference for design elements from antiquity. A unique, triangular base sits on casters for easy repositioning. With its timeless design and sophisticated materials, this gueridon is suitable for a range of spaces and decorating styles. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for use in your interiors. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition or reach out with any questions. -
