Description
Table lamp in murano glass by Albano Poli for Poliarte. This table lamp can best be described as elegant with the class of a timeless design. The Italian glass artist Albano Poli is the man behind this creation, which is made of glass with a brushed steel metal fixture on top.The refined thing about Poli's creations is that they already possess a high degree of sculptural beauty. So when the lights are off, the glass catches natural light, creating a subtle effect of reflections. The spectacle naturally begins when the light sources are turned on.This model has eighty half-cubes made of Murano glass, each with a characteristic ripple. They are hollowed out inwards by about one centimeter and have a relatively high opacity, which makes it difficult to see through the glasses, but they absorb the light and, as it were, retain it. A degree of depth is created because the light is carried from cube to cube.A brushed metal plate covers the glass body and and is topped off with a ditto cylinder of seven centimeters. This is also the fixture where an E27 screw fitting can accommodate a lamp. The condition of the lamp is very good with minimal traces of use."
