Description
Charming “Bumling” floor lamp in brass by Anders Pehrson for Ateljé Lyktan from the 1960s. The philosophy of the Swedish designer Anders Pehrson was not so much focused on the quality and power of a single light, but rather on the use of multiple light sources. This resulted in the creation of so-called 'families' of lamps. Due to the dimensions of the shade, which are just over half a meter, it immediately stands out in your interior. The round base seems to float just a little above the ground due to the four tiny rubber feet. Then the foot merges into the bar in a sloping shape. The light switch is placed at the top and the removable shade is placed at the very top. This is attached with a screw gland in the same beautiful brass colour. At the bottom of the shade rests a perspex diffuser that ensures the appearance of a velvety soft light. The top of the shade allows very subtle light to pass through the entire edge and through a recess in the middle. This detail ensures that the lamps will not only bring beautiful light into your space but will also become an object of desire through the reflection of the light. The lamp shows a beautiful and well-kept patina that is only clearly visible when you look at them up close. From a distance, this patina provides a warm and luxurious appearance. The lamp is in good condition.
