Description
This rare pair of table lamps was designed by Bo Råman and produced by ASEA in Sweden in the 1950s. Each lamp is engraved with the manufacturer’s name and the model number E1141 on the underside of the base.
The design consists of a circular brass base with striking engraved detailing around the rim. The stem is crafted from fluted oak, adding warmth and vertical rhythm to the composition. The shades have been newly made in cream-colored raw silk taffeta by Pierre Frey.
The combination of the materials and refined craftsmanship gives the lamps a sophisticated, tactile presence with notable depth and sculptural character.
The lamps are in good condition, showing a natural patina to the brass and wood consistent with age and use. The shades are newly replaced. The lamps are currently wired for 220V and fitted with standard E26/E27 bulb sockets.
