Designed in 1950, these versatile and Minimalist Viennese lamps are executed in bamboo and brass with a heavy X-shaped brass base that can be balanced in multiple positions. Includes sculptural hard paper shade by Werkstätte Carl Auböck, Austria.

Produced by Carl Auböck IV in the original Auböck workshop in the 7th district of Vienna using the same exacting standards, high-quality materials, original molds and techniques of his legendary namesake. Auböck's design career was long and varied, reaching its pinnacle of prestige at the Triennale di Milano in 1954, where he received four gold medals in recognition of his iconic work.

Accommodates 1x standard medium base (e26) bulb, (LED only- 60 watt equivalent); 10.8' black textile cord with inline on/off switch and US male plug.

Brass is not lacquered and will develop a natural patina over time and may already shows signs of patination due to handling, exposure to the elements, and storage. Original shine can be restored with a brass polish.
