This rare and distinctive table lamp was produced in France during the 1950s. The rustic yet elegant design is attributed to the renowned French designer Charles Dudouyt. The carefully carved details of the wooden base and stem highlight the artisanal quality and originality characteristic of Dudouyt’s work.
Crafted from solid oakwood, the lamp features a sturdy circular base adorned with four finely carved ring details. The striking, hand-carved stem displays a three-dimensional geometric diamond pattern, adding visual depth and texture. The tapered lampshade has been newly replaced with an ivory-colored fabric featuring a subtle linen texture, creating a warm and inviting glow when illuminated.
The oakwood remains in very good original condition with a warm, natural patina. The wiring has been renewed for safety and functionality, and the lamp is in full working order. It is fitted with a standard E26/E27 bulb socket and is currently wired for 220V with a European plug, ready for use.
