A Space Age table lamp produced by the German manufacturer Cosack Leuchten in the 1960s. The design features a heavy, stepped circular chrome base and a central chrome pillar that houses the light source. A large, transparent glass globe rests on the base, tapering at the neck and opening at the top to reveal the bulb. This minimalist construction highlights the play of light through the tinted glass, characteristic of late 20th-century European functionalism.
